The 29-man team who represented us at the just concluded 2012 Paralympic Games arrived in Nigeria yesterday and received a very low profile and shabby reception with no official of the national Sports Commission was at the airport to welcome them.
They finished with 13 medals, and occupying the 22nd place on the overall medals table as against their able counterparts who did not come back with a single medal.
Team GB , on the other hand was gloriously celebrated after the event.
The low profile reception is really unbefitting of a team that brought glory to Nigeria. Its a shame, really.
This is so sad and not encouraging at all...
This is just not fair...hmmm 9ja, una fit kill star 4 person o. no wonder some nigerian athletes didnt run for 9ja, i no blame dem joooor...
